Ground breaking marks start of housing construction in Redhills, Exeter

A new chapter in Exeter’s housing landscape has begun as construction officially commences on City View, a new development by Tilia Homes that will deliver 80 much-needed homes.

Representatives from Tilia Homes and Steve Hoskin Construction gathered at the end of March to mark the “first spade in the ground” in a ceremony at the site in Redhills, Exeter.

Named City View, the development will feature a range of quality new homes, including 2, 3, 4, and 5-bedroom designs, catering to a variety of lifestyles. Designed to blend in with its natural surroundings, City View will offer extensive public open space, a dedicated play area and picturesque wooded views over the city.

Offering a unique blend of urban and rural living, City View places residents’ minutes away from Exeter’s amenities with the open countryside on their doorstep.

Residents will benefit from strong travel links, proximity to well-regarded schools, and easy access to cultural attractions like the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Ludwell Valley Park.

The anticipated launch of City View is scheduled for Autumn 2025.
