Montgomery Place welcomes first resident home!

When Adam, a 28-year-old laboratory chemist, was looking to reduce his daily commute, while avoiding any tricky home renovation projects, he started to investigate new build developments, in Market Drayton.

Though Tilia Homes was a new name to him, it quickly stood out thanks to its promising location, amenities and impressive plans for its Montgomery Place development and the friendly sales and site team.

Here, he shares his story buying a three-bedroom Bembridge home…

Why did you choose to buy new with Tilia Homes?

The location of Montgomery Place initially drew my interest. I’d not heard of Tilia Homes before and I was pleased with the team’s friendly and approachable staff, the quality of the building work and the support I’ve received throughout my buying journey.

I wanted to be able to move in straight into the house without the need to do major redecoration projects. New houses have always appealed to me as I’m not overly skilled at DIY!

How did Montgomery Place tick the boxes?

The location of Montgomery Place roughly halves my commute time but keeps me close enough to visit my family and friends.

My experience in the area has only been positive while I’ve been exploring and I’m looking forward to seeing what the town has to offer this summer!

Do you have any advice or top tips for people moving or buying a new build?

I’d highly recommend conducting thorough research into the area.

The more information I collated from colleagues, family and friends about the local area and the process of buying the property, it made the whole process much easier – it sounds simple, but especially if you’re a first-time buyer, just talking about the development you’re moving to and the plans for it, makes the big decisions easier to make.

Also, you always need a bigger van than you first think!

How well do you think the sales team supported you through the buying and moving process?

I felt extremely well supported every step of the way. As a first-time buyer and the first member of my family to buy a new home, the entire experience was new to me.

The sales executive, Sabina, was a great comfort. She would clearly explain every stage of the process (even after I asked the same questions repeatedly!) When I had any questions about documents that I needed to provide and sign or who to contact, she was always just an email or phone call away.

Jack, Ethan and the site team were also fantastic – they were always very courteous and friendly when I’ve visited the house. It’s so reassuring to be able to approach them with any queries I have that anything I raise, no matter how small, is dealt with swiftly and professionally.
