New 140-home development opens doors in Cottenham
Tilia Homes Eastern welcomed some very special guests to the launch of its brand-new Kings Park development, recently.
Pupils from Cottenham Village Primary School joined members of the Kings Park development team, senior management, subcontractors and first residents at Kings Park, all came together to celebrate the eagerly anticipated launch of the 140-home development and stunning show home and view home.
To mark the occasion, the community-focused housebuilder made a £250 contribution towards the Cottenham Primary School Breakfast Club fund, allowing children to start the day with a healthy breakfast.
Kings Park will see a selection of two-, three-, four and five-bedroom properties to suit the growing demand for homes from all buyers in the market in this sought-after location.
Gareth Jacob, Regional Managing Director for Tilia Homes Eastern, comments: “It was our pleasure to welcome pupils from Cottenham Village Primary School to do us the honour of cutting the ribbon at Kings Park and to present them with the cheque towards their brilliant Breakfast Club initiative.
“The children were very engaged and asked insightful questions of our team during their visit, including ‘how we help offset carbon emissions? How long it take to build a home? How many bricks does it take to build a home? There were definitely some future housebuilders in attendance, I’m sure!”
“We understand how proud people are to call Kings Park home, which is why the design of our home draws inspiration from the local landscape with design elements incorporated into the design and materials of the properties, while the apartments and town house properties bring a contemporary feel to the entrance of the development.”
As part of its commitment to the Cottenham community, Tilia Homes has pledged more than £1.6m in investment to local councils to support healthcare, education and road infrastructure in the area. The eco-conscious developer has further pledged its commitment to reducing CO2 on site by 10 per cent by using fabric first and renewable materials on at least 45 dwellings.
“We understand that we’re building more than just properties in Cottenham, but a real community where people can make memories and start the next chapter of their lives, which is why we place a great emphasis on investing in the areas in which we build and we look forward to seeing people start the next chapter of their lives at Kings Park over the coming months,” Gareth adds.
