Primary school teacher Ebony and her partner Gerald, a secondary school teacher, have been together since they were just 16.

Ebony says: "Our friends couldn't recommend Greenway Place highly enough, so we thought we would take a look for ourselves. We really liked both the development and the new town itself and the location was convenient for our commutes to work. We like the fact that we would have countryside on our doorstep but are also just a 15 minute drive from Bedford. With some lovely local walks, nice parks and good schools, it seemed like the perfect place to put down roots.

Ebony and Gerald chose the three-bedroom Pinewood house type which offered the space and layout they were looking for, including a generous kitchen diner, ensuite bedroom and plenty of storage. Luckily for the couple, a Pinewood was already available after another buyer pulled out, so they were able to complete their move within just six weeks.

Gerald comments: “We were very impressed with how smooth the sale process was, particularly in such a short space of time. Caroline and Linda on site were brilliant, helping us every step of the way. Tilia included flooring and turf with the house and we also received £1,000 towards our legal fees. We also used Tilia’s recommended mortgage broker and solicitor who were both fantastic.”

Ebony and Gerald are now happily settled into their new home and have been busy putting their own stamp on the house.

“We’ve loved building a home of our own” says Ebony. “I’m forever buying interior décor pieces! The community here is really friendly too. It’s been great having our friends on the next street and we had drinks with the neighbours.

“After waiting so long for our first home, it all happened in just a matter of weeks! But we couldn’t be happier with our first step on the property ladder.”
