Tilia Homes acquires land in Exeter

Tilia Homes has purchased a 10-acre parcel of land at Shillingford Road in Exeter, as it seeks to expand its property portfolio into this historic city.

Brook Manor is located in Alphington, a suburb to the south of Exeter, and has outline planning permission in place for more than 100 homes. 30% of the homes will be allocated as affordable properties in a mix of social rent and Shared Ownership tenures, and Tilia Homes will be making a significant financial contribution to the local area through the Section 106 agreement. The scheme will be accessed via a new access created at Shillingford Road.

The development is less than three miles away from Exeter, with journeys to the city just 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes via public transport. For families, Alphington offers a high standard of education with Alphington Pre-School, Alphington Primary School and the new West Exe School for secondary education.

Alan Hindley, Land Director at Tilia Homes Western, comments: “We’re thrilled to have acquired a new development site in Alphington with good local amenities, excellent links to Exeter city centre and top quality education – together offering the perfect location for a variety of home buyers.

“We will soon be submitting a reserved matters application for a collection of high-quality homes and public open space and look forward to working with Exeter City Council to deliver a scheme which contributes to their local housing requirements.”
