Tilia Homes Eastern has announced works have now commenced at Stortford Fields, in Bishop Stortford, following planning approval for the next phase of homes by East Herts District Council
Plans for 78 properties, in a range of one- to four-bedroom homes, will be available to prospective buyers later in the year. As part of the provision, some 29 affordable houses and 10 custom-built plots will also be built, ensuring there is something for everyone on the property ladder.
The development is part of a consortium, along with Bovis Homes, Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon in the popular commuter belt, nestled in the heart of the English countryside.
Gareth Jacob, regional managing director for Tilia Homes Eastern, comments: “We’re very much looking forward to unveiling the first of our next phase of homes at Stortford Fields and watching the already thriving community continue to grow and mature
“We understand that we’re building more than just properties in Bishop Stortford, but creating homes where people can make memories and start the next chapter of their lives, which is why we place a great emphasis on investing in the areas in which we build.
“What’s more we understand how proud people are to call the town home, which is why the design of our home draws inspiration from the local landscape with design elements incorporated into the design and materials of the properties, while the apartments and town house properties bring a contemporary feel to the entrance of the development.”
As part of its commitment to the local community, Tilia Homes has pledged almost £1.4m into local infrastructure, services and facilities, including towards education and healthcare provisions, traffic management, outdoor sports facilities and sustainable transport.
Nestled in rural Hertfordshire, Bishop's Stortford offers the best of country living with great connections to London and Cambridge.
“The official launch of the development and show home will be Autumn 2023, but we welcome any interested purchasers to register their interest in the homes now,” Gareth adds.
