Tilia Homes has joined forces with supply chain management company CQMS, in a move that reinforces its commitment to robust health and safety procedures

The partnership follows the launch of untypical which brought together housebuilders Tilia Homes and Hopkins Homes under one company, owned by the Hands Family Office and managed by Terra Firma, the European investment firm.

The partnership with Grantham-based CQMS will seal the group’s commitment to health and safety, whilst streamlining processes and promoting consistency across the group.

The collaboration will mean that, by the end of the year, all companies working for Tilia Homes and Hopkins Homes will be required to hold a CQMS Safety-Scheme ‘Advanced’ certificate, demonstrating their compliance with health and safety and corporate social responsibility (environmental, social and governance) practices and standards.

CQMS, which has more than 20 years’ experience managing Approved Contractor Lists, will maintain continuous communication with untypical suppliers helping to mitigate risk within the group’s supply chain. An approved database will also be renewed annually in line with SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) assessment and accreditation.

Contractors undertaking scaffolding, timber frame erection or demolition will have a separate ‘trade’ module to complete to demonstrate mandatory memberships with relevant organisations to ensure compliance with the untypical Group standards.
