Tilia Homes secures final phase at Westhill, Kettering

Expanding on its flagship Westhill development in Kettering, Tilia Homes has purchased an additional parcel of land at the Northamptonshire site, and secured planning approval for 106 new homes.

Tilia completed the purchase of the 4.5-acre extension to the development in April, marking the fourth and final phase at Westhill. The construction of the homes will start imminently and will see the completion of 59 private properties and 47 affordable homes including a mix of one- and two-bedroom maisonettes, two-bedroom bungalows and two, three and four-bedroom houses.

Construction at Westhill began in 2014 and over 350 homes have been completed to date. As well as new homes, phase four at the development will deliver Section 106 contributions to local education, infrastructure and leisure, totalling approximately £670,000.

James Griffiths, Head of Planning at Tilia Homes Eastern, said: “Tilia Homes has been developing at Westhill for approximately eight years, formerly under our Kier Living brand, and we have completed the build on two phases to date.

“The purchase of the final phase here is significant for our business as we seek to continue our investment in Northamptonshire, bringing new homes as well as significant financial support to the town.

“We’re looking forward to releasing our new plots to the public later this year and seeing our prolonged commitment to the development come fully to fruition.”

Westhill is ideally situated to make use of its excellent travel connections. The A14, just half a mile away, takes travellers and commuters east and west to the A1 and M1 motorways. While Kettering station, just a 3-minute drive away, can get you to London St Pancras in 56 minutes or Leicester in 23 minutes.

While the new homes provide the foundations for family life, the local schools deliver a first-class education with an array of schools to choose from. From Hall Meadow Primary to Bishop Stopford School, students have an excellent choice of local education in Kettering, and all within a 3-mile radius.

The town also offers a number of amenities and leisure facilities, including an eight-screen Odeon cinema and New York Thunderbowl bowling alley offering entertainment for the whole family.
