Tilia Homes Western sees footfall increase after launch of new show home

Tilia Homes Western has seen an increase in footfall after opening the doors to both a show home and a view home at Brook Manor, in Alphington, Exeter.

Potential buyers can now visit a three-bedroom Cornwood and a two-bedroom Dalston to get a better feel of what it would be like to live in the village of Alphington. The show home was professionally designed by No17 Interiors with first-time buyers, home movers and investors in mind.

The development is bringing 182 homes to the area, which is facing growing issues over housing supply and affordability. * The site will deliver a range of one to four-bedroom homes, with 30% of the properties designated as affordable housing for local people.

Emma Cotterill, Sales & Marketing Director for Tilia Homes Western, said: “We place great emphasis on building the right homes in the right place in response to the needs of the local area. Therefore, our aim at Brook Manor is to build a thriving community in a place that has great amenities, good commuter links and a strong identity.

“We have seen an increase in footfall since the show home launch, probably because prospective buyers are taking advantage of seeing what life would be like living there, while also getting inspiration for their own homes.”

The Cornwood show home has a separate living room and modern open plan kitchen and dining room with French doors leading to the garden, while the Dalston view home features a spacious living room at the back of the home with French doors that lead out to the garden.

Lisa Stone, spokesperson for No17 Interiors, said: “For the show home, we aimed to create an interior that was modern, light, bright and inspirational in feel, but also achievable, comfortable, and homely. I was initially inspired by the wallpaper in the main bedroom, which is stunning. The rest of the scheme evolved from there with teals, greens, and creams with a touch of burnt orange.

“We also wanted to demonstrate clever use of the bedrooms by showing a study or work from home space in one, as well as a teenage or guest room, showing how to make the most of the available space.”

Brook Manor also provides green open spaces with bird and bat boxes throughout the development, as well as a children’s play area.

As part of its commitment to Brook Manor, Tilia Homes Western has pledged more than £2.6m in investment towards local education and healthcare facilities, as well as road traffic management, including a pedestrian and cyclist bridge.
