Tilia is appointed to new Homes England Procurement Process
Tilia Homes has been appointed to Homes England’s new Delivery Partner Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), providing the housebuilder with easy access to land.
The new DPS will be the main route for land disposal for the Government’s housing delivery agency and will support Tilia’s land acquisition programme at a time of significant growth for the company. Other public bodies can also use the DPS, broadening member housebuilders’ exposure to potential projects.
Members of the DPS are required to demonstrate a track record in all stages of residential development including planning, supply chain management, design and construction and sales and marketing. Tilia Homes application was successful in both the small sites (between 20 and 70 homes) and large sites (over 70 homes) categories.
Tilia was previously part of Homes England’s Delivery Partner Panel and has successfully developed over 20 sites on government-owned land. Flagship projects include Landimore Park, the transformation of a 111-acre site in the Northamptonshire village of Hardingstone, and Verdant Rise which forms part of the landmark Ashton Green regeneration site, a major urban extension to the north of Leicester.
David Bridges, CEO of Tilia Homes, comments; “Homes England is transforming the way it disposes of land and being appointed as a member of the new DPS means we will have quick and easy access to high-quality, sustainable sites across our four operating regions.
“Since being acquired by Terra Firma in June this year, the new Tilia business has been focused on future growth plans and land will be the lifeblood of that expansion programme. Initiatives such as the DPS will be an important strand of our land buying programme as we build a strong pipeline of sites to fuel our growth.”
